About Us

Orange County Conservation Corps (OCCC) is a nonprofit organization serving young, at-risk adults through employment, training and educational programs that build self-sufficiency and benefit the community through conservation-related projects. Founded in 1993, OCCC provides young adults with opportunities to gain valuable workplace skills, pursue education and career development, and make a positive impact throughout Orange County. Corpsmembers participate in hands-on conservation and community improvement projects, including habitat restoration, urban tree planting, park and trail maintenance, recycling, landscaping, infrastructure improvements, and disaster cleanup. OCCC also supports corpsmembers through educational opportunities, professional certifications, job skills training, career counseling, and other resources designed to help participants achieve long-term employment and independence. Through partnerships with local governments, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations, OCCC connects workforce development with meaningful projects that improve Orange County communities and the environment. By providing young adults with the opportunity to earn a paycheck while learning, working, and serving their community, Orange County Conservation Corps helps build a stronger workforce, healthier communities, and a more sustainable future for Orange County.
